Modern Warfare construct art shows off the zombie mode that never was
For Call of Responsibility: Forward-looking Warfare, Infinity Ward definite to ditch the zombie way that's cropped up in many of its predecessors. The team was fashioning something a bit more grounded than Black Ops OR Infinite Warfare, and evidently shambling corpses just aren't authentic or virtual plenty. It looks like the no more-zombies prescript wasn't settled on straight away, however, and some undead concept art has appeared.
Instead of channelling B-movies, the art posted by Modern Warfare principal concept artist Aaron Beck is more mindful of Swedish artist Neil Simon Stålenhag, whose incredibly popular retro-futuristic dystopias suffer spawned books, games and and a very slow Amazon TV show that I'll probably never get round to finishing.
The hoodwink, the nuclear force plant and the robots would all look very at home plate in Tales from the Grummet, merely the zombies add another level of menace. Don't worry—they'atomic number 75 happening leashes.
"I was thought process information technology would be fun to play with the classic Call of Duty zombie gameplay," writes Beck, "hinting Hera at some sort of Land limited forces soldier and his duo of quadruped robots, material possession captive zombified soldiers by leashes around their necks."
The zombie modes typically diverge a great carry on from the solo campaigns, and so I don't think anyone would consume cast off aside nonpareil being pledged to Modern War. It's a pity, then, that Beck's concept didn't incur explored advance.
